The Wasp class is a class of landing helicopter dock (LHD) amphibious assault ships operated by the US Navy and used in a large variety of missions: these ships are capable of operating helicopters, V/STOL aircraft and some landing hovercrafts and boats.
This MOC is a 1:350 scale model of a Wasp-class ship, designed in detail with all the features of the real ship:
- Openable well deck
- Hangar deck
- Flight deck
- Elevators to move aircraft from hangar to flight deck
