The Bell UH-1Y Venom is a modernized variant of the iconic UH-1, upgraded with a glass cockpit, advanced avionics, and a forward-looking infrared system to enhance safety and mission capability. Its most distinct improvement is the four-blade all-composite rotor system, capable of withstanding up to 23 mm rounds, replacing the older two-blade design and restoring the Huey’s utility role. The airframe features a 21-inch fuselage extension for added capacity, along with more powerful engines, upgraded transmissions, and flat-panel multifunctional displays.
