MOC-259577 8x8 Light Armoured Vehicle - 1:35 Scale Building Blocks
The LAV-25 is a wheeled infantry fighting vehicle primarily operated by the U.S. Marine Corps since 1983. Featuring an 8×8 chassis and a combat weight of approximately 12.8 tons, it is armed with a 25mm M242 “Bushmaster” chain gun, capable of amphibious operations, and can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h on roads. It is air-transportable via aircraft such as the C-130.
Originating from the U.S. military’s early 1980s Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) program for rapid deployment forces, the LAV-25 has participated in numerous operations including the 1989 Panama invasion, the 1991 Gulf War, and conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Based on the base model, several variants were developed, including the LAV-AT anti-tank, LAV-L logistics support, LAV-C2 command and control, and LAV-AD air defense versions, forming a complete vehicle family. Planned service extends to the mid-2030s.
Includes detailed components for authentic assembly and display.
