MOC-78624 Ford F-150 1:8 Scale Low-Rider Custom Pickup Truck Building Blocks
Build a heavily customized American pickup with the MOC-78624 Ford F-150 1:8 Scale Low-Rider Custom Pickup Truck Building Blocks. Designed and authorized by Nico71, this 2,742-piece model combines the bold proportions of a lowered Ford F-150 with an advanced mechanical drivetrain, adjustable suspension, working steering, and a detailed V8 engine.
Measuring approximately 52 × 23 × 18 cm and weighing around 2.15 kg, the finished model has an imposing display presence. Beneath the modified pickup body is a sophisticated 4×4 chassis featuring an 8-speed sequential gearbox, selectable drive modes, adjustable ride height, and multiple opening body panels.
Low-Rider Custom Pickup Styling
Inspired by a modified Ford F-150 with large custom wheels, the model features a lowered stance, wide proportions, and a clean street-truck appearance that sets it apart from conventional off-road pickups.
8-Speed Sequential Gearbox
At the heart of the drivetrain is an advanced 8-speed sequential transmission with Drive, Neutral, and Reverse selection, creating one of the most mechanically detailed features of the model.
4×4 Drivetrain & Working V8 Engine
The four-wheel-drive system is mechanically connected to a simulated V8 engine, allowing visible engine movement as the drivetrain operates.
Working Steering with HOG Control
The steering wheel is connected to the front wheels, while a convenient Hand-of-God steering control allows the large and heavy model to be steered more easily from above.
Adjustable Ride Height
The suspension height can be changed using two-position control levers located within the vehicle. This allows the pickup to switch between different ride heights and enhances its custom low-rider character.
Front & Rear Suspension
The front uses double-wishbone suspension, while the rear features a live-axle suspension system, combining two different mechanical layouts within the same chassis.
Opening Hood, Doors & Tailgate
The hood, side doors, and rear tailgate can all be opened, adding interactive functionality and providing better access to the vehicle’s interior and mechanical details.
Detailed Pickup Interior
Inside the cabin are a dashboard, seats, steering controls, and a glovebox, giving the model a complete interior to match its detailed mechanical chassis.
From the Designer
Nico71 created MOC-78624 as a lowered custom interpretation of the Ford F-150, combining the appearance of a modified street pickup with the complex mechanical systems of a large-scale engineering model.
Particular attention was given to the drivetrain, including the D/N/R selector and 8-speed sequential gearbox, while the adjustable suspension allows the vehicle’s stance to become part of the interactive experience.
A Large-Scale Mechanical Pickup Display
With 2,742 pieces, a sophisticated transmission, working V8 engine, adjustable suspension, 4×4 drivetrain, and distinctive lowered appearance, this model offers a rewarding build for pickup truck enthusiasts, custom-car collectors, and builders who enjoy advanced mechanical vehicle models.
