⚙History: The RB engine is an ultra-square 2.0-3.0 L inline six-cylinder, four-stroke gasoline engine produced by Nissan, originally from 1985 to 2004.The RB follows the 1983 VG-series of V6 engines and offers a complete, modern inline or V-engine layout.
The RB engine family includes single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and double overhead camshaft (DOHC) engines.

The RB26DETT engine is a Nissan-built 2.6 L (2,568 cc) inline six-cylinder engine used in the 1989-2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R
Each cylinder contains a DOHC 4-valve (24-valve total) setup, which has 6 independent (3 groups of 2 conjoined throttle assemblies) rather than a single throttle body. The engine also features a parallel twin-turbocharging system.
