1/300 Leipzig-class Light Cruiser
Authorized and designed by count_of_brick. With a total of 1016 premium & rich-in-lustre parts.
Background:
The ship was built from 1929 to 1931 under the restrictions of the Versailles Treaty at the Reichsmarinewerft Wilhelmshaven. After the Germany class, the Leipzig class was one of the largest newbuildings in the Reichsmarine.
The Leipzig had its first combat missions between the summer of 1936 and the spring of 1937 during the Spanish Civil War, where it was damaged in heavy seas in the Bay of Biscay.
In the early days of the Second World War, the Leipzig was involved in several operations laying minefields on the east coast of England and in trade warfare in the Skagerrak and Kattegat.
