DB-Baureihe V100
The BR V100 diesel locomotive is a locomotive with a diesel-hydraulic drive. The V100 series was put into service by Deutsche Bahn in the late 1950s and partially replaced the obsolete steam locomotive series, which was replaced by electrified locomotives or diesel vehicles. The BR V 100 diesel locomotive was built from 1963 - 1985 and was mainly used on non-electrified branch lines for freight and passenger service.
