Designed and authorized by Silver Ridge, this 1,889-piece model is based on Southern Marin Fire District Truck 4, a 2018 Pierce Arrow XT tiller truck equipped with a 107-foot Ascendant aerial ladder.
The model captures the defining feature of a tiller truck: its long articulated tractor-and-trailer layout. The front cab and rear aerial section connect through a fifth-wheel mounting system, allowing the two sections to articulate naturally and also be detached for separate display.
Functional details include a 360° rotating aerial ladder, deployable outriggers, detailed roll-up equipment compartments, and a fully developed crew cab. A dedicated sticker sheet is included, adding vehicle markings and finishing details to the completed model.

2018 PIERCE ARROW XT INSPIRATION
The model is based on a 2018 Pierce Arrow XT tiller apparatus used by Southern Marin, capturing its long profile, red-and-black appearance, and rear-mounted aerial system.
ARTICULATED FIFTH-WHEEL CONNECTION
The tractor and aerial trailer connect through a fifth-wheel mount, recreating one of the defining mechanical features of a traditional tiller fire truck.
DETACHABLE TRACTOR & TRAILER
The rear aerial section can be easily disconnected and reattached, offering different display configurations and easier access to the model.
360° ROTATING AERIAL LADDER
The large rear-mounted ladder can rotate through a full 360 degrees to recreate different elevated rescue positions. The ladder is fixed-length and does not telescope.
FUNCTIONAL OUTRIGGERS
Two deployable outriggers recreate the stabilization setup used when an aerial apparatus arrives at an emergency scene. The support plates can be stored inside one of the equipment lockers when not in use.
DETAILED SIX-SEAT CREW CAB
The cab includes a driver seat, officer seat, two forward-facing rear seats, and two rear-facing seats. The driver area also features a dashboard, steering wheel, and control-panel details.

Silver Ridge created MOC-254378 as a recreation of Southern Marin Truck 4, a 2018 Pierce Arrow XT tiller truck stationed in Mill Valley, California.
The design focuses on the features that make tiller apparatus unique: the articulated chassis, fifth-wheel connection, long aerial ladder, stabilization system, extensive equipment storage, and multi-seat crew cab. The rear ladder can rotate fully, while the tractor and trailer can be separated for closer inspection or display.
