Background:
The Chimaera was a modified star destroyer commanded by imperial officer Thrawn during the Galactic Civil War. After his promotion to commodore and later to commander of the 96th Task Force, Chimaera became his  starship. When Thrawn rose to the rank of Grand Admiral, the Chimaera was transferred to serve as the starship of the 7th Fleet. During the Liberation of Lothal, the ship was pulled into hyperspace by the purrgil summoned by the young rebel apprentice Ezra Bridger, taking Thrawn, Bridger, and most of the crew with it.
